Ford Trimotor 'Tin Goose'
In the early 1920s The Ford Company invested in the Stout Metal Airplane Company. The single engined Stout 3-AT was redesigned with three Curtiss-Wright radial engines to create the Trimotor. Transcontinental Air Transport were the first to use the aircraft to operate on their coast-to-coast services.
